dime[mb] is the multiband member of the dime family. Split audio into up to five frequency bands and process each band with your own VST3 or AU plugins.
No built-in effects — you load whatever plugins you already own into each band’s chain.
Features
- Multiband splitting: Create 2–5 bands with adjustable crossover points. Drag directly in the spectrum or set frequencies numerically. 24 dB/octave crossover slope.
- Per-band plugin hosting: Load VST3 or AudioUnit plugins in any band, regardless of whether dime[mb] runs as VST3 or AU. Chain up to 4 plugins per band with embedded plugin UIs.
- Spectrum-based workflow: Visualise band divisions in real time and adjust crossover points directly from the spectrum display.
- Per-band FX mix and trim: Each band includes its own dry/wet mix (0–100%) and output trim (±12 dB).
- Hosted parameter mapping: Map parameters from hosted plugins to dime[mb] controls for quick access without opening their UIs.
- Processing modes:
- Zero latency: IIR crossovers, no added delay
- Linear phase: FIR crossovers with phase accuracy (host-reported latency)
- Band mute and solo: Isolate bands to monitor processing per frequency range.
- Global controls: Input gain, output gain, and overall wet/dry mix.
- Realtime spectrum display: Pre- or post-processing view.
- Interface modes: Light and dark themes.
