Sonic Time Capsule
In the early 1960s, a musical style called Beat Music took the world by storm. Originating in England, this rebellious sound, with elements of Rock & Roll, Rhythm & Blues and traditional Pop, soon filled the charts on both sides of the Atlantic and electrified the masses. A new sound was born. Equipped with new clothes and hairstyles, the young generation rebelled against the conservative lifestyle of their time. With driving rhythms, spring reverb-fueled guitars and a solid bass foundation, 60s Beat is a sonic time capsule that instantly immerses the listener in the era.
The Early 1960s Captured In Sound
60s Beat contains 10 massive constructions kits. With over 6GB of sample data and more than 1.200 individual loops, each of the 10 construction kits features 3 or 4 individual musical parts. Dedicated intro and outro sections are also provided. Individual loops are up to 56 seconds long, giving you extended performances and providing plenty of variety. Original tempos for the construction kits span 68 to 168 BPM and can, of course, easily be adjusted with Elastik’s powerful pitch and tempo manipulation features.
Comprehensive And Flexible Format
The instrument selection features electric guitars, electric bass, acoustic pianos, organs, strings and saxophone. For each of the main musical sections within a kit, multiple guitar parts are provided. These include a dry DI version as well as an amp version with effects such as spring reverb for an instant mix-ready sound. Electric bass loops are also provided as both dry DI and amp versions. For the drums, a premixed loop is included for instant use. You also get single tracks for bass drum (both mic in and mic out options), snare drum (with snare top and bottom mics) plus a trigger loop that makes it easy to replace the snare sound or substitute in claps if required. Individual tracks for hihat, toms, overheads, room and cymbal mics are provided, as well as various percussion loops including claps, tambourines and conga. All the instruments are recorded to Ueberschall’s usual high standards but also capture the authentic sound of the early 60s.
American And British Musical Influences
60s Beat is a true sonic time capsule. It provides all the inspiration you will need to recreate the sound that symbolizes music in the first half of the decade. Whether you want to add your own lead and backing vocal arrangements, or just want an instrumental bed to place the listener right into that era, 60s Beat has all you need. A great complement to our 60s A Go Go library, 60s Beat will be perfect for songwriters, producers or media composers needing the sound that filled the American and British charts in the early years of the 1960s.
