The History Of The Rock: Part 2
70s Rock Riffs is focused on the sounds and styles of 1970s, the decade which saw rock music conquer the world. With the amps set to 11, there is plenty of crunchy, overdriven guitar tones, and a side-serving of distortion and wah where required. Get ready for a combination of some heavy blues rock, riffs that hint at the birth of both downtempo and thrash metal, kits that rock while also grooving, and good time classic rock that’s ready to party. 70s Rock Riffs has it all.
Rock Radio Riffs
With over 2 GB of samples featuring 965 individual loops, 70s Rock Riffs is organized into 25 musical kits. Each of these offers a main riff and a dedicated outro. The main riff loops are up to 24 seconds in length. The 25 kits were recorded at tempos ranging from a downtempo 80 BPM to a high-energy 180 BPM. The riffs are in a number of different keys, but Elastik makes it easy to combine riffs in different tempos or keys thanks to its powerful tempo and pitch manipulation features.
Amp And DI Versions For All Guitars
Within each kit, three guitar performances are included. The first two provide doubled versions of the main riff while the third offers a complimentary part that is in a lead guitar style. All guitar parts are provided as both amp and DI versions for maximum mix flexibility. A separate stereo loop contains all three guitars panned left/right and center. This loop also includes effects for a mix-ready option. Bass and drum loops are also provided for each main and outro performance within each kit. Both amp and DI versions are provided for the bass loops. A pre-mixed stereo drum loop is included alongside separate loops for bass drum (both mic in and mic out options), snare drum (with snare top, bottom and trigger provided), hihat, ride, toms, overheads and room mics enabling full control over the drum mix. All the instruments are recorded to capture the authentic, all analog sound of 70s rock.
Authentic 1970s Style
70s Rock Riffs is packed with the sounds and styles from the decade when rock filled the radio waves. It’s a great complement to other titles within the Rock Riffs series and a number of our other 70s-themed titles such as 70s Funk Rock, Glam Rock and Rock Classics. Whether for your next song project, or next film or TV score, if you need the authentic sounds of 1970s rock radio, 70s Rock Riffs has your back.
The Rock Riffs Series
70s Rock Riffs is part of a four-part Rock Riffs series spanning different eras – 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s - within the history of rock guitar. The guitars remain the star of the show but each of the main riffs is complemented with full drum and bass parts for instant inspiration in a convenient ‘Instrument Series meets Construction Kit’ combination format.
