The History Of The Rock: Part 4
90s Rock Riffs captures the significant change in guitar-based Rock that marked the 1990s. The loop pack blends elements of Rock with other genres such a Pop, Funk, Hip Hop and Metal to deliver the sound of emerging sub-genres such as Indie, Alternative and Grunge. The sound is still loud and proud, but embraces the more experimental styles and tones of the 90s. The good-time party rock music of the previous decade transitions to darker and edgier alternatives. There are still plenty of riffs but with a distinctly 90s style.
Rock Hits The 90s
Featuring over 3 GB of samples composed of 971 individual loops, 90s Rock Riffs is organized into 25 musical kits. The 25 kits were recorded at tempos ranging from a rock-solid 80 BPM to an up-tempo 194 BPM. Each kit includes a main riff section and a dedicated outro. The main riff loops are up to 24 seconds long. Thanks to Elastik’s powerful tempo and pitch manipulation features, you can easily combine riffs from different kits into longer arrangements.
Complimentary Bass And Drum Parts Included
Each kit contains three guitar parts. The first two are doubled versions of the main riff, while the third is a complementary lead guitar style part. All guitars are provided in both amp and DI versions for maximum mixing flexibility. A separate stereo loop contains all three guitars panned left/right and center. The guitar tones are more diverse to match the more varied styles of 90's Rock. Both clean and overdriven sounds are included, with less emphasis on heavy distortion. Bass and drum loops are also provided for each part within each kit. Both amp and DI versions are included for the bass loops. A pre-mixed stereo drum loop is included alongside separate loops for bass drum (both mic in and mic out options), snare drum (with snare top, bottom and trigger provided), hihat, ride, toms, overheads and room mics enabling full control over the drum mix.
From Grunge To Alternative
90s Rock Riffs is a great complement to other titles within the Rock Riffs series as well as a number of our other Rock themed titles such as Indie Rock and Grunge. If you are a producer, songwriter or composer whose next rock project needs a more experimental or edgier flavor – from Grunge to Alternative with various stops in between - 90s Rock Riffs is a great place to start.
The Rock Riffs Series
90s Rock Riffs is part of a four-part Rock Riffs series spanning different eras – 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s - within the history of Rock guitar. The guitars remain the star of the show but each of the main riffs is complemented with full drum and bass parts for instant inspiration in a convenient ‘Instrument Series meets Construction Kit’ combination format.
