What is Capsule?

Capsule is a cloud-based collection of byte-sized sound libraries referred to as "Capsules". 

A Capsule is a small collection of chromatic instruments following a very specific sound theme, which can be a certain genre, a particular era, a specific type of sound etc 

Capsule is focused on quality and simplicity, each sound is meticulously crafted to inspire and fit into your productions, while at the same time being extremely easy to use.

The instruments are playable via the Capsule VST3 / AU audio plugin and the downloads are managed via the Capsule Portal desktop application.

This capsule captures the intimacy of a felt piano, an instrument recorded with a sheet of soft felt placed between the hammers and the strings. Lovingly recorded at multiple velocity layers, the achingly delicate tones of this capsule will inspire the most emotive themes.

To widen the breadth of timbres available Capsule Audio also created hybrid patches, combining the piano sounds with a curated selection of other characterful instruments. Finally, Capsule Audio thoroughly abused their piano, placing a selection of objects between the strings which were then struck, scraped and plucked to provide expressive hits, textures and effects.

This Capsule started life as a delicately sampled concert harp. Once experiments began, these mutated plucks took a twisted turn. From creamy pizzicato-style picking to crowd pleasing synth twangs, this diverse collection of sounds are just as at home in the club as in the concert hall.
