Hidden Electro-Acoustic Piano
1959 by Sampleson is based on the electro-acoustic piano patent registered in 1959. Sampleson brought it to life using spectral modelling. It's sound can be described as CP80-like but a bit more tuned due to the fewer number of strings.
The Experience of Recreating a Forgotten Electro-Acoustic Piano Patent
Does it sound like the original one? Sampleson don't know, because it has never been built. And they won't build it (for the moment). But the experience of bringing to life an instrument that never existed, was super-exciting.
The resulting sound of this virtual instrument is warm, clean and bright. The expressiveness of the piano action Sampleson emulated gives it a nice and wide range of timbres. From warm lows to metallic shines on higher velocities.

Acoustic Models. Organic Results.
Taking a new approach to sound design, Sampleson created spectrums for acoustic instruments to be accessed via additive synthesis.
Akoustic gives you a very precise and obsessive way to create new sounds, allowing you to tweak every part in a detailed way. Envelope, tuning, offset or gain for any parts are accessible individually. This gives you an unmatches detailed editing power.
Every sound created with Akoustic is… acoustic!
The DNA of acoustic instruments will remain recognizable on any weird editing made with Akoustic. This is what Sampleson love about Akoustic. All of the patches have an organic, wood-like sounding, analogue feel.
Create Amazing Organic Sounds
Akoustic is fully based on spectral modelling. Recreating organic sounds by additive and spectral synthesis. This is why it's so lightweight. Sampleson don't need to include huge sampling audios. They just included the DNA. Creating organic sounds is in your hands.

Polyrhythmic Cinematic Drums
Drumbada is a polyrhythmic cinematic drum engine equipped with 5 groups of 3 drummers each. It is based on the unique sound of the "Bombo Legüero," a rare South American bass drum that has never been deeply sampled before.
Drumbada also introduces the Crew-playing algorithm, which reproduces the behavior and imperfections of 15 percussionists playing together.
Drumbada simplifies the process of creating polyrhythms by offering intuitive controls within its five groups of sound sources and arpeggiators. With independent adjustments for signature, speed, spread value, and accent, users can effortlessly explore various rhythmic combinations without feeling overwhelmed.
This thoughtful design allows for natural experimentation and encourages creative exploration, making polyrhythms accessible to musicians and producers of all skill levels.
A Rare Bass Drum
The "bombo legüero" is a drum popular in Latin American folklore. It owes its name to the characteristic it is believed to have, which is being heard even at 6 miles of distance. It consists of two leather membranes with hair attached to a box made from a hollowed trunk secured by straps made of leather or rawhide. Both the rims and the membranes are struck with leather-covered mallets called sticks or drumsticks. The legend tells that a butcher in a village, who lived in the middle of the countryside, had a drum to inform neighbors that he had meat for sale.
Crew Algorithm
Drumbada faithfully replicates the organic imperfections of a dynamic ensemble of 15 percussionists playing together. With precise control over the timing of each group of percussionists, you can finely adjust the rhythmic feel to suit your composition. Additionally, manipulate accents with ease to emulate the nuanced impact of subtle or strong hits, bringing authenticity and depth to your drum tracks.
Featuring an intuitive interface and a user-friendly mouse-drag UI zone, Drumbada grants you unparalleled control over your sound by seamlessly integrating multiple parameters into a single, effortless gesture. There's no other Electric Piano like this one and it's never been recreated into a virtual instrument, until now. A rare-piece specially made for electric piano collectors.
Virtual restoration of an almost-extinct electric piano.
The Czech Klaviphon is almost extinct. No parts can be found online and just a few of them still alive. This is why Sampleson wanted to make a virtual version of it. To keep its unique sound for further generation of musicians.
KLAVEE was built upon spectral modelling. A technique that assures perfect tone matching with the original instrument.
The Klaviphon: A Czech Gem
The Klaviphon is a plucked electric piano created in the Czech Republic in the 60s. Sound is generated by reeds plucked by wooden hammers. Sound on lower octaves is the classical reed-based. On upper register, the timbre turns in to a Kalimba-like sound, due to the nature of the hammer-hit direction (from bottom to top on the reed-edge).

Spectral Modelled Stage 88 EP
The first spectral-modelled electric piano based on real samples entirely rebuilt by modelling. Offering the real sound and feel of a Stage EP in just 25MB.
Sampleson decoded and analyzed a vintage electric piano's sinewave spectrum for every note and every velocity and recreated it manually. When you play a note on Markus, the exact same sound for the original instrument will be generated (no samples involved).
And they did it manually. Every single harmonic was tuned by ear. Like in acoustic piano tuning, the final touch is always made manually, and no tuning software or algorithm is able to replace that.
Decoding the Electric Piano Genome
Every sound in nature is a complex spectrum of harmonics. The combination of those harmonics makes every sound unique and easy to be identified by humans. Doing the reverse engineering for finding the harmonics that makes a tine-based electric piano sound like a tine-based electric piano is a complex task.
Sampleson disassembled tine-based electric piano timbre into the minimal parts a sound can be split into and reassembled them into a fully expressive virtual instrument.
Features

Spectral Modelled Grand Piano
MetaPiano is the first Spectral Modeled Grand Piano out there. It was built upon real sound captures from a Japanese Concert Grand Piano, and meticulously rebuilt by math algorithms. It's so realistic you won't believe it is not the real instrument. And so lightweight you can email it :)
The Process
It all started with the search for the perfect piano to analyze its sound. Sampleson fell in love with a Japanese Concert Grand Piano and deeply recorded it, capturing every nuance to feed our spectral analysis with high-quality audio sources. A peaceful studio located in Patagonia gave them the noiseless scenario they needed to capture crystal-clear waveforms with top industry Mics and Preamps. Then the real process begins. A custom-made algorithm disassembles the audio and extracts the main characteristics for each note and noise. Finally, their Spectral Engine 2.0 generates the sound every time you play it, making every note unique and irreplaceable since it's created on the fly.
Hyper-detailed Spectral Modeled Grand Piano
MetaPiano was made upon Spectral Modeling, a technique that provides realistic sounds since it's based on real samples and not hypothetical approaches like physical modelling.
It sounds real because it is real: sound is created the same way in nature (stacking simple sinewaves together). This is why it feels organic and warm.
Sampleson mapped more than 64 groups of timbre components (releases, hammer, key noises, main timbre, resonance, etc) and recreated them by Spectral Modeling, archiving a realistic and warm sound in only 60 MB, and with very low CPU usage.
Full Decays (No Loops)
Thanks to the Spectral Engine, MetaPiano reproduces the full length of the real notes without loops. You'll hear decays for a minute and more on lower notes.
No Velocity Sweeping
MetaPiano is built upon the full dynamics of the real instrument. There's no velocity switching because there are no layers or regions or anything that old sampling techniques needs.
Features
- Spectral modelled 88 notes grand piano.
- 60MB.
- Low CPU usage.
- Based on real samples.
- No velocity-switching.
- Scalable HD interface.
- Impulse response-based Ambient Reverb

Spectral Modelled '80s EP
A classic of the late '70s and '80s. Sampleson recreated a classic '80s EP by spectral modelling, offering the real sound and feel of the simplest electromechanical piano in the history in just 30MB.
Carefully crafted. Detailed recreation of every single mechanical noise and main timbre. No velocity switching since the instrument is not sample-based. Available for Mac & Win, standalone and plug-in versions.
This was one of the most affordable and common eletromechanical piano produced in the late 70's. Based on reeds, it generates a warm, bell-like but dark tone. But Sampleson included the option to activate the sustain pedal on their modelled recreation. They also recreated mechanics sound, very present in every sound.
An '80s Classic
Late in the '70s was launched a simple yet powerful electro-mechanical piano. Manufactured betwen 1977 and 1982, this classic electro-mechanical piano was one of the simplest EPs in history. Based on reeds, and sticky pads, it offers a "Reed" like sound but with a much more present mechanical noise due the proximity of the mechanics to the keyboard itself.
Features
- Spectral modeled full range EP.
- Included Drive and Reverb FXs -Sustain activation option. -Releases, mechanical noises and velocity controls.
- No layer switching (Smooth velocity curve).
- No extra purchases needed (like Kontakt, UVI, etc) or any other 3rd. party player.

The First Ever-Changing Modelled Electric Piano
Reed106 is the first modelled piano that is always changing. Every note, every day, every month. Reed106 creates small variations of itself every time you play it (reproducing temperature, humidity, power supply fluctuations in real life) This eliminates one of the most frustrating things in a VST. The boring effect that a virtual instrument generates over time.
Hear It In Action
Reed106 is pure and realistic. Because it's based on real samples and rebuilt by spectral modelling. Demos were recorded on Apple's Logic Pro with the factory reverb and built-in FXs included in Reed106.
It's perfect as a raw sound source, ready to be enhaNced with the built-in effect or any other 3rd party sound processor you like.
You'll Have A New Electric Piano Every Day
Every electric piano has a unique sound. Even if it's the same model, same manufacturer and same year! This is why real pianos and electric pianos can never be emulated by software... until today! Reed106 introduces a proprietary Sampleson's software that turns static VST instruments into living ones.
Infinite Round-Robins
Sampled instruments use to add round-robins (Round-robin sampling is a method of sample playback which allows you to play different sampled versions of the same sound to avoid the "machine-gun" effect). Reed106's spectral model is capable to create infinite natural variations for every note and velocity. Something is not possible with sampling methods.

A Rare & Unique Vintage Electric Piano
Stage54 is the virtual emulation of an extraordinary and hard to find 54-key electric tine piano. A true gem only a few people own.
In the late ‘70s, a 54-key variation of the famous stage electronic piano was introduced. This version focused specifically on the middle register of the piano, intended for players who were interested in achieving the best possible tone for chords and melodic passages during live performance.
Today, this is one of the rarest variations of electric tine pianos, and still features the wooden keys, felts, and action that characterised the original electric pianos of the 1970s.
This Stage54 emulation has been meticulously created using spectral modeling - allowing you access to the same sound as the original instrument in only 45 MB. Stage54 also features infinite round-robins technology and a unique daylight-based user interface that changes throughout the day.
Stage54 has been created in a collaboration between Sampleson and Plugin Boutique.
What is Sampleson's Spectral Modeling Engine?
Stage54 was made with the second generation of Sampleson's Spectral Modeling Engine. It’s capable to create realistic sounds in real-time since it's based on real samples and not the mathematical approaches of typical physical modeling techniques.
It sounds real because it is real: sound is created the same way it’s created in nature (stacking simple sinewaves together). This is why it feels organic and warm.
What is Sampleson's Infinite Round-Robins technology?
Sampling methods have used Round-Robin techniques for years (sampling more than one hit to the same note). This technique is limited because it's finite and every new sample will increase the sample size.
In contrast to this, the spectrally modeled Stage54 creates infinite small variations for the same note and velocity, emulating the real instrument in a more natural way.
Sampleson has mapped more than 64 groups of timbre components (releases, bells, key noises, main timbre, resonance, etc) and recreated them via spectral modeling, achieving a realistic and warm sound in only 45 MB with very low CPU usage.
Features
- Spectral modeled 54-key electric tine piano
- Only 45 MB.
- Low CPU
- Based on real samples
- No velocity-switching
- Scalable HD interface
- FX - Phaser, Tremolo, Reverb, Drive

Suit73-V2 is only 45MB but sounds like a 20GB Electric Piano, thanks to the Infinite Round-Robins technology that emulates infinite small variations for the same note.
Suit73-V2 is produced with Spectral Modeling, a technique that provides realistic sounds since it's based on real samples and not mathematical approaches like physical modelling.
Hyper-Detailed Spectral Modelled Suitcase Electric Piano
Suit73 V2 sounds real because it is real: sound is created the same way in nature (stacking simple sine waves together). This is why it feels organic and warm.
Sampleson has mapped more than 64 groups of timbre components (releases, bells, key noises, main timbre, resonance, etc) and recreated them by Spectral Modeling, archiving a realistic and warm sound in only 45 MB and very low CPU usage.

Intuitive Synth Sound Creator
THINGS allows you to create hi-quality synth sounds even if you have zero experience in synthesis. Sampleson implemented what they called "Descriptors" which are objects and ideas that will help you understand the effect of a knob and the kind of sound it will produce.
All of the parameters can be assigned to a CC contoller (right-click over the desired slider/knob) and automatable via DAW.
Arpeggiator Features
- 4 to 32 steps selector
- Octave range switch
- Note Shift automation
- Note Velocity automation
- Note Length automation
- Arpeggio direction (4 modes)
- Shuffle amount knob
- Ignore key-down option
- Sync to host and manual tempo

Synthesized Reed Electric Piano
Before samplers, before huge computers, emulations were made with old and good synthesis. Wursy is the recreation of (what we think) the best way to achieve a Reed Electric Piano via synthesis.
The result? A super-expressive electric piano. With tons of harmonics and variations over the octaves, and a NON-STATIC sound.
Wursy has a tremolo with intensity and frequency modulators and a reverb FX. And it's only 40 MB with extremely low CPU usage.
