u-he Repro
Repro dives into the past for analogue inspiration, meticulously modelling two famous synthesizers. Every detail of the original was captured using component-level modelling technology to create the most authentic model possible. All the subtle characteristics and quirks found in the originals are present in Repro. One product, one installer, two synths.
Repro contains Repro-1 and Repro-5.
Repro-1 is a fierce monosynth: hard-working, raw sounding and immediately playable. The classic design is simple and intuitive but belies a deep feature set capable of a wide range of sounds.
Repro-5 is the new polyphonic addition. It has a lot in common with Repro-1, a similar design and feature plus shared sonic DNA. But Repro-5 introduces new flavours, most notably is ability to play lush chords or thick unison leads, while keeping the authentic analogue sound.
At first glance Repro-1 and Repro-5 are simple and intuitive, but the clean and classic designs hide deep feature sets capable of a wide range of sounds.

Resonance Sound Aiyn Zahev - Prometheus for u-he Repro-1
Prometheus for Repro-1 features a wide range of presets exploring both vintage and modern sound. The bank is based on over 65 sequences and 120 individual sound presets. Since the sequence data and the sounds are included individually you can mix and match the sequences to different sounds, or just use sequence presets as they are. This gives you not only inspiring sounds to work with, but also fresh musical ideas. Repro-1 has superb filters and beefy oscillators, making it ideal for baselines, arpeggios and musical monophonic sequences, but you’ll also find some cinematic sounds and thanks to some programming trickery even some polyphonic pads.
Any of the sounds of course can have their sequencer switched off and used normal patches, basses, leads, atmospheres and mono-phonic pad sounds, giving you a full 120 sounds to work with, all tagged for use in U-he’s new browser system.
Patches feature Modwheel assignments where possible and velocity where sensible. The effects section features heavily here, reverb and chorus accentuating atmospheric patches even further, while subtle distortion and EQ is used judiciously on patches that benefit from a dry and powerful sound, such as basses.

Resonance Sound AZS Cube for Repro-5
CUBE for Repro-5 by Aiyn Zahev Sounds features 110 presets, inspired by both modern and vintage synth sounds.
Repro-5’s polyphony makes it ideal for pads & plucks, but its unison also allows for stacked oscillators, detuned and panned, making it ideal for vintage baselines, scary drones, aggressive pad beds & modern dance music.
The result is a bank mixed with the soft beautiful tones of vintage synth leads and pads, modern EDM sounds that cut a mix and lots of atmosphere and cinematic sounds.
The effects section is used appropriately, and many presets are dry, allowing the brilliantly modelled oscillators and filters to shine. Others make heavy use of reverb and chorus to accentuate the atmosphere and feel of certain patches even further.
All presets are tagged for use in U-he’s new browser system, and feature Modwheel assignments where possible and velocity where sensible.

Resonance Sound Synthmorph - Electron for u-he Repro-1
The Repro-1 Electron delivers an unparalleled experience by maximising the potential of u-he Repro1. The package includes 132 detailed and tagged presets, but the Synthmorph sequences are the heart of the matter.
All presets use pre-mapped controllers (modulation wheels, velocity and aftertouch), so you can use the instant modulation options expressively right away in your own DAW application.
The magic is further enhanced by the use of Synthmorph sequences and layers!
As Repro1 itself has a simpler structure, you can fiddle with fewer synth parameters in the Synthmorph sequences (usually between 11-16), compared to other synths. Still, in the case of Electron presets, modulating these parameters in parallel generates a swirling kinetic energy in the audio domain that will make any electron particle detector go haywire!
20 full morphing custom Synthmorph sequences (some of which you can hear in the video) are available in both .mid and .wav formats.
The same 20 sequences are now also available as the so-called “CTRL ONLY” version, where only the parameter modulations are run while you play the keyboard live on the original (or any other!) patch. This reveals an amazing world of possibilities where you can actually achieve many more preset variations, while also having the joy of exploring and creating your own unique presets.
Layering presets adds a new sonic dimension. For the quick start, you get 15 matching preset combinations, playing simple one-finger melodies or trigger notes, which usually means playing 3 different MIDI parts for 3 separate Repro1 instances. You access these 15 example sequences in their original MIDI and WAV formats: modify the sounds that make up the layering, and use them to create additional variations of your own.
