CR-78
Cherry Audio's first virtual drum machine --accurately recreates the punchy analog sounds and 34 onboard preset rhythms of the first true classic drum machine and takes it much further. We've done away with the complex beat programming, replaced it with a familiar X0X-style button-per-step interface, and added an easy-to-use song mode for pattern chaining. Unlike sample-based emulations, Cherry Audio's CR-78 uses modeled synthesis to recreate the classic tones of the original and makes a quantum leap forward by making these sounds fully editable.
New in Synth Stack! GP5Free
A lite version of Gig Performer 5, Deskew Technologies' cross-platform premium audio plugin host for live performance and session musicians. In addition, owners of Synth Stack receive a 10% discount off the regular price of the full version of Gig Performer 5.
Gig Performer®
The ultimate tool for live performance. The days of heavy gear, lots of cables, and complex set ups can be gone forever. Simply create sounds from your favorite plugins, and feel the freedom from heavy gear and the excitement of playing your studio-quality virtual instruments and effects at your shows or in the studio. The GP5Free version allows for up to eight plugins per rackspace, up to 10 rackspaces, and up to five variations per rackspace.
Synthesizer Expander Module
An emulation of the classic OB self‑contained synthesizer module of the same name. Though it was a simple, barebones monosynth, the Synthesizer Expander Module possessed a unique tone quality, courtesy of its 12 dB/oct state-variable filter. With lowpass, bandpass, highpass, and notch modes, this flexible filter was the star of the show. We've precisely recreated it here with a filter section and Phasor effect programmed by award-winning synth designer Mark Barton (MRB).
Pro Soloist
The latest in Cherry Audio's roster of ultimate "what if?" virtual instruments. Featuring the precision-crafted and circuit-modeled DSP designs of award-winning developer Mark Barton, Cherry Audio's Pro Soloist goes beyond emulating the treasured, preset-based monophonic analog synth originally released by ARP in 1972. Pro Soloist not only reproduces the expressive controls, 30 presets, and the unique underlying architecture of this prog rock classic, it breaks it out of its cage by making it fully programmable and expanding it with full polyphony, splits and layers, a mod matrix, integrated studio-quality effects, and more.
PS-3300
An exactingly faithful virtual analog emulation of the colossal and ultra-rare semi-modular analog polyphonic synthesizer released by KORG in 1977. Cherry Audio has pulled out all the stops to accurately recreate and update this mythical monster synth, from its massive stacked sonic character and signature multiple‑resonator sweeps to the considerable patching capabilities that distinguished the PS-3300 from all other polysynths at the time.
Harmonia
A wildly innovative virtual instrument from Cherry Audio, designed to easily create rich, evolving polyphonic tones through its intuitive visual interface. Using techniques similar to those found in additive synthesis, each Harmonia oscillator simultaneously produces up to eight pitches, individually tuned to harmonic series or semitone pitches. The volume for each harmonic can be fixed or dynamic, and interpolated harmonic scanning enables dramatic sweeps and melodious sequences.
Octave Cat
Emulating The CAT duophonic synthesizer unleashed by Octave Electronics in 1976. Developed in partnership with The CAT’s original designer, Octave Cat retains all the growl of the original hardware’s fat, savage sound and replicates its aggressive resonant filter. Octave Cat features the flexible modulation, screaming audio-range oscillator cross-mod, and fierce oscillator sync of the original hardware, and extends it with expanded polyphony, a robust integrated effects suite, and a versatile dual-step sequencer.
Novachord + Solovox
This collection emulates two early electronic instruments that were precursors of modern synthesizers. Novachord is based on the revolutionary polyphonic instrument from 1939, while Solovox replicates a related monophonic keyboard instrument intended to provide organ-style leads. These exceedingly rare instruments set standards for tone generation and synthesis techniques that continue to influence today’s electronic music instruments.

Mercury-6
A meticulous recreation of the Jupiter-6 analog synthesizer, just in time for its 40th anniversary! Sandwiched between the earlier Jupiter-4 and Jupiter-8 models in name only, the sophisticated Jupiter-6 has sometimes been considered a sleeper release. These days, it has persevered to become one of Roland's most notable and coveted classic synthesizers due to its distinctive dark and complex character. Mercury-6 captures all that is exceptional in this treasured polyphonic classic, boosts its extraordinary feature set for today's DAW production and workflow, and celebrates the ground-breaking innovation from the era that changed music forever.
GX-80
Cherry Audio's visionary flagship synthesizer, over a year in the making. Combining the unparalleled sound and features of Yamaha's fabled GX-1 "Dream Machine"and its renowned descendant, the CS-80, GX-80 is a transformative virtual synthesizer blending the essence of two groundbreaking instruments to create a powerhouse hybrid. Featuring the carefully crafted and intensely circuit-modeled DSP designs of award-winning developer Mark Barton, Cherry Audio has replicated every subtlety of the classics to create the most authentic emulation of its kind.
Sines
A sensational and innovative original polyphonic synthesizer. Employing four sine-wave oscillators, Sines utilizes diverse waveshaping methods to bend these pure waveforms into infinitely variable and complex shapes. When combined with its wide-ranging modulation capabilities and effects, users can create a distinctive array of unique timbres ranging from the sublime to sizzling.
Elka-X
Based upon the legendary Synthex, a rare Italian analog synthesizer designed by Mario Maggi and manufactured by ELKA in the early eighties. Elka-X replicates the extraordinary character of the original synth without compromising sound or functionality, thoughtfully expanding its feature set and delivering the authentic Synthex experience at a price anyone can afford.
Lowdown Bass Synthesizer
Recreates the super-fat, room-rattling sounds of the most legendary dual-oscillator bass pedal synth ever made. Heard on countless prog-rock and new wave tracks in the 70s and 80s, this floor pedal monster comes to the desktop for the very first time. From the dual “constant-beat” oscillators to the girthy ladder filter, DSP wizard Mark Barton (MRB) has modeled every aspect of the original with exceptional accuracy.
Miniverse
Cherry Audio's painstaking virtual emulation of the granddaddy of all portable synthesizers. When we set out to create Miniverse, we focused on a single principle: absolute authenticity. We avoided the temptation to add extra features, such as additional LFOs or effects, which might distract from the spirit and vibe of the classic original. Instead, Miniverse portrays the pure, raw, powerful sound and feel of the classic original. Whether you're seeking monstrous leads, funky basslines, or warm atmospheric pads, Miniverse has you covered.
Dreamsynth
An original tribute to the celebrated hybrid analog/digital synthesizers of the mid-to-late 1980s. The innovative design blends flexible dual-wave morphing oscillators, stereo filters, a fully polyphonic string synthesizer, extensive and easy-to-use modulation, studio-quality effects, and MPE support, all in an elegant vintage-style synth interface.
Quadra
A super-accurate emulation of the ARP Quadra synthesizer, reproduced for the first time. We’ve addressed the original Quadra’s shortcomings and wildly expanded it for an experience that blows away the real thing in every way. Each of its four sections is independently assignable to any keyboard region for endless splitting and layering flexibility. The overall sound quality has been improved for a richer and fatter tone. And not only did we make a killer emulation of the aforementioned onboard phaser effect, we added a stereo chorus/flanger, a syncable echo, and studio-quality reverb - all individually routable for unprecedented effects flexibility.
Mercury-4
Emulates one of the best and quirkiest polyphonic synths of the late 1970's, the Roland Jupiter-4. The rarest and most sonically unique of the fabled Jupiter series, we’ve gone to great lengths to recreate every nuance of this beloved classic. Expertly modeled upon a vintage Jupiter-4 originally owned by Greg Hawkes of legendary 80’s new wave rockersThe Cars, Mercury-4 improves upon the original with 16-voice polyphony, infinite patch storage, velocity sensitivity, MPE support, and more. We’ve even paired it with a fantastic model of the classic tape delay!
Memorymode
Based upon the Memorymoog, one of the best sounding polyphonic analog synthesizers of the 80s, and was expertly modeled upon a vintage instrument originally owned by jazz legend Chick Corea. It expands upon the original without compromising any of the sound or functionality that made it great, and does away with its reliability and tuning issues. The user interface has been streamlined with fast, simple-to-use pop-up menus and an improved value display window.
PS-20
An ultra-realistic, polyphonic, hot-rodded tribute to Korg's renowned MS-20. First and foremost, PS-20's dual highpass/lowpass filters super accurately recreate the MS-20's famous raunchy sound in all of its squelchy, screaming glory. Every part of the instrument has been "souped up" with killer features, including 16-note polyphony, a unique three-layer, eight-step sequencer with flexible CV outs, integrated effects, and a simplified and improved patch panel section for modular-synth flexibility.
Eight Voice
Meticulously emulates the immense sound of the Oberheim Eight Voice, one of the world’s rarest and most desirable vintage instruments. Predating modern microprocessor control, its eight independent dual-oscillator voice modules could be challenging to program. Eight Voice’s unique Voice Link controls allow simple and powerful grouping of voice module controls, eliminating individually setting each module's controls. Focus buttons allow instant enlargement of any section of the user interface and massively flexible keyboard assign modes enable endless mono and poly keyboard zoning and layering options.
Polymode
Inspired by the groundbreaking Moog Polymoog synthesizer. One of the world’s first polyphonic synthesizers, its unique multiple parallel filter implementation and mod routings give it a sound like no other synth. With a streamlined user interface and immense modulation capabilities, Polymode sets a new standard for animated, sonically evolving string, pad, and choral tones.
