GRFX - Granular Effects
GRFX is a powerful and expressive granulator effect plug-in built for sonic explorers. Its granular engine can deconstruct sound into tones, chords, textures, rhythms, and more.
At the heart of GRFX is the Harmonic Triangle—an interactive three-way transposition panel that thickens pads and harmonizes leads, with support for microtonal tuning. The 2 Multi-effect slots, 2 dedicated Sends, and the handy Mixer panel give you complete control over your sound, making GRFX a truly unique sonic sandbox.
To top it off, 4 cross-modulatable LFOs for hundreds of modulation possibilities of all the aforementioned units.
Harmonic Triangle
It features an intuitive triangle interface that lets you set the probability of grain transposition across three custom pitches—selectable as discrete notes or continuous pitch values for a taste of microtonal heaven.
Modulations
The 4 available LFOs are capable of modulating almost any parameter in sight, including themselves and each other for complex, evolving modulation. Adding modulations is a drag-and-drop action, with instant access to modulation amount for fast workflow. An additional dedicated modulation panel provides a clear overview of all routing and movement.
Effects Rack
GRFX features 2 multi-effect inserts, 2 dedicated sends and a Mixer panel.
With its probability-based routing control, GRFX can send grains to two different paths: Route A—into the multi-effect section—or Route B—directly to the mixer. The 2 multi-effect slots include 8 different effects, opening up vast sound design potential—especially when combined with GRFX's modulation system.
Grains from both routes can be sent to the Delay and Reverb sends, which can operate in series or parallel. Combined with routing probabilities, this setup allows for rich, multi-layered textures and complex effects.
Lastly, the Mixer panel gives you direct control over the levels of all signal paths.
