The inspiration for creating these instruments is the most varied: mimic an animal sound, replicate a specific sound of nature’s depths or evoke the native ancestor’s sound of the Amazonian rainforest.

With a huge variety and diversity of Amazonian instruments, this is the definitive tool not only to create Amazonian music but also adds a special element to your epic or dramatic songs.

Instruments

Woodwinds Low

• Buzina de Bambu: A typical wind instrument used during the rituals by Dessana tribe from the Amazon.
• Buzina de Motor: An instrument that imitates the sound of the horns from the boats that travels down the Black River in the Amazon.
• Buzina Tariano: A woodwind created by a Train native, Caribaia. This instrument is used to invite other tribes in times of festivity.
• Cancão: Created by Celdo Braga using a gourd and a small balloon piece. This instrument was created to mimic the sound of a bird's call in the rainforest.

​Woodwind High

• Flauta com Cariço: Also called Tarúzupá, which means"A flute that plays any time of day'. This is an instrument used widely whether there are festivities or not.
• Flauta Cotia: A female flute made of Paxiúba wood. Made by a native Tarian called Caribaia. It is used to initialize de Dance of Cotia, in the rituals in the Alto Rio Negro.
• Flauta de Jupati: A similar system found on Vuvuzela and has its rod made from the wood of the Jupati tree.
• Flauta Dupla: Flauta Dupla is adapted by the natives from the Greek flute named Aulus. It consists of two flutes played at the same time.
• Flauta Indígena: A traditional flute played by different natives across the Amazon.
• Mawako Bambu: Made from bamboo and boil by the Tarian native Iavy. It's used in dances (Malocas).
• Mawako Femea I, II, III: Instruments played by women from Dessana tribe. Its main purpose is hunting rites.
• Mawako Infantil: Instruments made for children only from Dessana tribe
• Mawako Macho I: Instruments played by men from Dessana tribe. Its main purpose is hunting rites.
• Mawako Tariano: At the end of their celebrations, the native step on these instruments, breaking them so new ones can be made for future celebrations.
• Yapurutu: This is an adapted instrument with a PVC tube, electrical tape and durepox. Yapurutu is an instrument used for dancing festivities. Yapurutus have no holes along its body and it is played by varying the intensity of the musician's breath.
• Yapurutu Pachiuba:  An instrument is made of Pachiúba rod, banana straw and beeswax. The legend tells that the Uirapuru bird lived inside this instrument, which would play on its own. Once the bird leaves the instrument, it needed to be played by men.
