After the big hit with Spark 1, Arturia brings Spark 2, an innovative drum production tool that use multiple synthesis engines and advanced sequencing functions. Spark 2 brings some new features such as a new design, new sampling and physical modeling sound engines, powerful pattern-based sequencing : Real-time sequencer and classic TR-style step sequencer. Also Spark 2 cover many music genres with an impressive library of samples with more than 2800 instruments.
User Interface
At first impression Spark 2 looks very futuristic with a white and grey background and with some nice designed controls that complete this futuristic look. The user-friendly interface will help you to learn fast and easy all controls and features. The top row includes 16 pads related to the 16-step sequencer, also includes the master volume and shuffle controls, exactly like on a classic drum machine.
In the center Spark 2 includes 6 main control knobs and at the bottom you have eight MPC-style pads and thee Bottom panel features the Studio, the Mixer and the Library.
Effects
From the mixer section at the bottom you have for each channel an AUX 1, AUX 2 and Pan Control knob. With this controls you can choose from Bit Crusher, Compressor, Chorus, Delay, Distortion, EQ and Phaser effects.
