It seems simple on the surface, but SigMod has the potential to add some game-changing flexibility to your plug-ins and DAW.
Overall Rating - 9/10
SigMod is a flexible, modular utility plug-in, with 12 single process modules to enhance the functionality of your plug-ins and DAW. The no-frills GUI is clear and functional with an excellent auto-sizing feature that updates depending on which modules are inserted. There are basic functions such as flipping phase, making mono, switching LR, detecting and removing a DC offset and a useful Protect unit that instantly cuts out if the signal passes a threshold.
Things get more interesting with the Mid-Side and Crossover modules. These allow you to add M/S or split band functionality to vintage processors, delays or any effect you can think of. There’s also a superb Tap module, which can send a signal to a separate Receive plug-in you can place anywhere in your DAW and a new module that allows SigMod to internally host a VST3 plug-in. Once you get your head around it, the possibilities are vast.
